Since His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang won't be able to hold this year’s Winter Teachings the epowerment and teachings will be given by H.E. Garchen Rinpoche in Jangchubling Monastery, Dehradun, India from November 11 to November 19. A detailed schedule of events will be provided soon.

Schedule of the 2011 Winter Teachings

Novemer 11: On the first day, monks and nuns from local monasteries and nunneries around Dehradun will gather for the Annual World Peace Prayer Festival
November 12: Hevajra (Tib. Kye Dorje, kye rdo rje) Preparatory Empowerment
November 13: Composition of the Sand Mandala of the Hevajra Nine Deities and conferral of the Actual Great Empowerment (Tib. dbang chen)
November 14: Instructions and transmission for the generation of Hevajra deity
November 15 to 18: The main Hevajra Drubchen will be conducted, based on the Sand Mandala of the Nine Deities
November 19: Dissolution of the Sand Mandala and conclusion of the teachings

After the completion of the Winter Teachings, a Pilgrimage Tour to four major holy places of Buddhism in India, led by Ven. Khenchen Konchog Gyaltsen Rinpoche will be held from November 20 to December 1, 2011.
